Our plan to bring you the best experiences in conservation
We’ve been working hard at improving Conservation Guide and have made some changes to further our mission of connecting conservationists with high-quality organisations and opportunities.
We hope you’ll give some time to read this article carefully as it sets out what we'll need from you, the experience organisers, to help you promote your experience better.
In order to accommodate our new requirements (below), we’ve added the following new features:
We are beginning a major push towards improving the quality of all experiences on the site and a major component of this is to upgrade the information on existing listings.
The goal is to provide as much detail as possible on your experience, so that the conservationist has all the information they need to make a decision to apply.
We understand it may take more time to gather all this information but we truly believe it is necessary for Conservation Guide to provide the best quality information to prospective conservationists.
Update your experience information here.
Conservationists need to be able to see what others say about each experience, so we are now asking you to write to previous customers and gather at least two reviews per experience.
Let us know if we can help with this.
We’ve found that one of the most effective ways of promoting your experience and building trust is to share articles about project leaders on our blog.
Therefore, we’ve prepared two short interviews that we are now requiring organisations to answer before they post an experience:
We are now not just about volunteering, but any activities aimed at improving your skills and experience in conservation, including training courses and internships.
You can choose these new experience types when adding your experience, and existing internships and courses have already been upgraded to these new types.
In the near future our plan is to add events near you and other exciting things.
We appreciate that this is not a small amount to ask of you, but here’s what we can offer in return:
Over the next new weeks we will be individually contacting you (our organisations) to help you through the update process.
Update your experience information here.
In order to make these upgrades effectively, we will also need to introduce a deadline of around one month for upgrading your experience, which we will arrange with each organisation when we contact you individually.
We are on a journey to connect conservationists with the best experiences that can improve their professional skills and knowledge.
We hope you can join us!
